Introduction

Message from the INC Chairman

The 2004 Internal Conference resolved that the INC be permanently based in Hong Kong. We hope that with the joint strength of both Hong Kong and Kowloon Wah Yan we should be able to foster further development of the INC as a hub for all Wah Yan alumni chapters. We are looking forward to the continual support from all Wahyanites regardless of whether they are overseas or local.

Since the establishment of the INC in 1990 there has been rapid development in communication technology. The conventional mode of using letters and even fascimile will not be able to meet the present needs for immediate exchange of information. This has also great impact on the INC. Updates from Chapters all over the world are now readily available through the Internet. E-mails can be exchanged almost realtime. The INC needs to make use of these developments to bring the Wah Yan Community even closer together and our network stronger and more efficient than ever.

Our pioneers have done an excellent job that excel us from other alumni with our extensive overseas chapters and the close link that they have fostered. Anyone who has been at the International Conferences will no doubt be impressed by the strength and important functions of the INC. Upon the well-laid foundation and structure, we believe that there are still scope for us to do even better. There may be families overseas in distress looking for immediate help, students going overseas to pursue their studies anxiously seeking guidance, Wahyanites longing to re-establish contacts with fellow classmates. If we can further strengthen our link and network, we can further spread the Wah Yan Spirit far and wide.

Introduction
